Regulation of the Food Act 2006:-Food business inspections and licencing.-Enforcement action under the Food Act 2006.-Providing technical advice to customers regarding the requirements of the Food Safety Standards Code.Regulation of Public Health Act 2005:-Management of public health risks including unsafe asbestos removal, designated pests, and clandestine laboratories.Regulation of the Environmental Protection Act 1994:-Management of complaints under section 440.-Enforcement action under section 440ZG including issuing of infringements, investigating further non-compliance under a warrant and giving witness evidence in both Planning & Environment and Magistrates Court proceedings.Regulation of Local Laws:-Temporary Entertainment Event licencing and inspections.-Footpath dining applications.Development Applications-Providing comment on development applications from an environmental and public health perspective.-Ensuring technical reports completed by professionals are as per the City Plan's relevant criteria.-Liaising with applicants and internal departments in relation to development applications.

I was given an opportunity to demonstrate my leadership skills. I managed a team of seven whilst reporting directly to the Unit Service Manager. My role consisted of the following tasks:-Providing advice, feedback and guidance to the team.-Ensuring that all workloads were being completed within legislative and business time frames.-Ensuring that the Service Manager was being kept up to date with current issues.-Assisting the Service Manager in responding to difficult complainants. -Organising and facilitating a workplace health and safety session for the team to ensure they understood organisational safety requirements.
