Responsible for the public positioning of the Association and growing our public voice across Australia, in line with our advocacy agenda. The role reports to the GM – Operations and works closely with the CEO & AMEC team, overseeing all internal and external communications for AMEC, ensuring a consistent and engaging message.Tasks include: - Managing the Association’s media and communications and its public voice- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with national and state media outlets- Maintaining brand guidelines and value proposition to members and stakeholders, and ensure effective implementation throughout all publications and materials, including online content.- Managing AMEC’s external and internal communications, website and social media.- Responding swiftly and accurately to media enquiries- Assisting the Policy, Membership and Events teams with quality writing and editing content across a range of platforms, including press releases, AMEC publications, and marketing collateral- Creating, implementing, and monitoring comms and media strategies and campaigns- Monitoring and reporting of media and social media trends and advising on implications and response strategies
