Led an amazing team of 15 Technical Recruiters. Our group was responsible for all Product Management, Technical Product Management, Director/Sr. Director Product Leadership, Strategy, Global Product Commercialization & GTM hiring across Indeed North America. (Acquired by Affirm) Started from an extra bedroom in a rental house, we built Techees from scratch. Our dream was to create a technical recruiting firm that focused on accountability to both the client and candidate. The promise we delivered on was providing candidates who were not actively seeking opportunities, thus providing our client companies with a much more candid audience(than a traditional active job seeker). During my time at Techees, I spearheaded Strategy and Operations, while continuing to contribute as Mentor, Manager and Recruiter. From 2014-2016 we scaled from 5-16+ employees. I was responsible for creating reporting structures and growth opportunities for new employees, while mapping career paths within the organization. With the successful implementation of these programs, the company attained a 300% topline revenue growth $XXm in gross sales, while maintaining a healthy profit margin of 35-40%. Techees was really a great experience for me and taught me many valuable lessons about business and life. I was able to learn so many things and learn many functions within such a small growing company. These functions included but not limited to building out a comprehensive commission structure, 401k planning and implementation, designing office space layouts, IT Infrastructure and everything in between. I am very proud of the team that we built and seeing the continued success/growth of Techees from afar. It is also extremely rewarding to see how many current and former employees lives forever changed in a positive way from taking a chance on joining us.

Came into this completely green. Learned a ton about running a business and recruiting firm here and also a lot of what not to do. Our team was a core group that went on to form many successful tech recruiting firms across the state of California. It was a great experience and forever grateful for the help provided by Rick to set me on this career path.

Once upon a time, I sold airtime for the original Hip Hop Radio Station in LA. It was a really fun experience. I cut my teeth in sales here and was hired as the youngest AE in the company. Within 6 months, I brought on many new clients, including a six figure yearly contract with the City of LA. Aside from selling radio ads all over LA, I got to do some other fun things as well. Through these connections, I joined an entertainment company that brought well known musical artists to small/medium sized venues in Hollywood/DTLA for a brief stint. -Put together BET awards afterparty featuring Yung Joc at the Forbidden City in Hollywood -Helped organize and advertise an E-40 concert in DTLA.
