Supervised, instructed, and assisted the reserve company, comprised of 120 Marines, to maintain a high state of deployment readiness. Maintained, employed, and accounted for equipment valued in excess of $70 million, facilities in excess of $16 million, and an annual budget of $500,000.

Led team to recruit by category/component, process, contract, prepare for training, mentor, and commission officer candidates in 28 Central Florida colleges, universities, and law schools. Established/nurtured effective relationships with college officials, and developed the sales skills of team. Served as the Marine Corps’ image in the densely populated region; worked many community events across Central Florida.

Led 108-person team in the maintenance management of all equipment, valued in excess of $80 million. Developed all company training plans. Led 8-person team in the integration of supporting arms, such as artillery, mortars, fixed/rotary wing aircraft fires, and naval gunfire in support of the company mission. Led team to develop a detailed gunnery skills training plan; resulted in the company earning the highest average gunnery score in the battalion (863 out of 1000), and battalion adopting the training method. Led creation of the first armor scenario to be used on the Deployable Virtual Training Environment (Computer-based training), trained the first platoon on the software, and tested feasibility for use in armor community; used today by all Marine Corps tank battalions to save operations/maintenance budget costs.

Led 10-person embedded advisor team to an Iraqi Army Brigade staff. Supervised the operation of Coalition, Joint, and Iraqi Combat Operations Centers. Advised senior foreign officers in Operations, Training, and Plans. Assigned as the single Coalition Force liaison between the Iraqi Army and five Coalition Force units across 40,000 square miles of battle space; bordered by Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Syria. Planned, task-organized, and led numerous combat patrols, to include seven major Brigade-level counterinsurgency and security campaigns; created long-term stability in the region and accomplished strategic goals for the US. Developed in-depth Train-the-Trainer program to assist Iraqi officers in training their soldiers; generated credibility for the Iraqi officers and enhanced the capabilities of the entire 6000-soldier brigade.

Redesigned the outdated execution matrix and observer/controller packages for company-level deployment certification exercises; assisted companies in training for real world situations they may confront in combat. Developed Standard Operating Procedures and a detailed After Action Report for armor platoon training deployments in support of infantry Battalion Landing Teams; created efficiencies in the deployment process. Led 12-person committee to plan the 2008 Marine Corps Birthday Ball for the battalion; selected a new off-site venue that could support all requirements for 750 guests, and provided the commander with controls to mitigate all associated risk with an event of this magnitude.
