As a former Executive Director at Bridges Seattle APG, I led a small non-profit organization that provides peer-led services to teens with substance use disorder. I was responsible for running support groups, grant writing, recreational programming development, logistics, networking, and on the ground work with the teens. I ensured that our operations were culturally responsive and centered the needs of the most vulnerable members of this group, who are often affected by oppressive systems.I have an Associate's Degree in Substance Abuse/Addiction Counseling from Edmonds Community College, where I graduated with honors in 2016. I am a certified Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) and have experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings as a clinical supervisor and a clinician. I have contributed to the creation of the virtual treatment program at Lakeside Milam Recovery Centers during the pandemic, training other clinicians to provide telehealth services. I have also delivered educational lectures, conducted crisis management, and performed assessment, treatment placement, and utilization review. My work is guided by my passion to support those seeking recovery from addiction, as well as my ethics and social justice values. I believe in social equity and the need to approach every situation through a culturally competent and mindful space. I respect the diversity and uniqueness of each individual, and cherish the chance to help them write their story of recovery.
