Ryan Roush currently serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of JW Aluminum Company. During his tenure at the company he has held several leadership roles - including Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) - focused on driving the overall market, product, and customer strategy. In his current role with the company, he leads the company’s operations and commercial functions, including manufacturing, sales, marketing, and corporate communications. Roush is also responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies. As a member of the Board of Directors for the United States Aluminum Association, Roush is hyper-focused on promoting aluminum’s position as infinitely recyclable and has been a vocal advocate on behalf of JW Aluminum Company, and the industry in general, to position aluminum as the material of choice. Roush regularly authors articles on the benefits of aluminum as a sustainable material and has been a guest speaker and panelist at industry conferences. In additional to serving on the Board of Directors for the United States Aluminum Association, Roush also participates and serves in leadership roles across multiple market committees within the association. He is also an active member of the Association’s Trade Enforcement Working Group, where his work with both the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) and Department of Commerce (DOC) has helped to promote free and fair trade within the domestic industry, leading to significant capital investments in the aluminum rolled products space.Over Roush’s twenty plus year career within the aluminum rolled products industry, he has held various leadership roles in sales, marketing, operations, and product management at companies like Aleris (now part of Novelis), Ormet Corporation, and now at JW Aluminum Company. Before starting his career in the metal and mining industry, Roush played professional baseball in the Boston Red Sox organization.Roush received his undergraduate degree from Marshall University and holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). He calls Charleston, South Carolina home along with his wife and their four children.
