What does fixing sprinklers have to do with how I work?I love working each summer on my family’s ranch. A favorite task of mine is maintaining the irrigation system (crazy, right?). It is often easy to see where the trouble spots are, either from brown grass or a broken sprinkler head. In other cases, it is more difficult and requires investigating by digging 3’ x 4’ holes to get to the 3” irrigation pipes. Once the job is completed and the sprinklers are running perfectly again, to me, there is nothing more satisfying.This illustrates how I approach my job every day. My motivation comes from the desire to optimize processes by looking at things differently, solving problems, questioning the status quo and always asking what gaps need to be filled?
