As a Product and Systems Specialist for Hay and Forage, I will be assisting John Deere’s dealerships in Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota in a variety of ways. By engaging with customers early and often, dealers will be able to show the value of John Deere's hay and forage equipment.

In this role I will be working in three different parts of the business. One rotation working with seeding and planting equipment. The next rotation working at a training facility, training dealers and other employees about commercial mowing equipment as well as other large ag products. And finally, at the tractor facility in Waterloo IA, doing cost of ownership work. These three experiences will allow me to see three different parts of the John Deere business and allow me to make the next step in my career with Deere. Truly a remarkable experience that has and will give me the experience to grow into a leader in the agriculture world.

I have been a teachers assistant for a foundation science class in addition to my rigorous course work. I have worked in ticket sales for a conference called Power To Become (P2B). On top of those responsibilities I have been actively engaged in the Proffesional Agriculture Student organization, currently acting as the President. Went with a team to compete at the PAS national convention in a case study competition, there were three different areas of competition and we took home third place,

I have been given the opportunity to intern with a great company such as John Deere this summer. I have loved the experience's, the projects, the people, and the responsibilities that have been placed upon me. I look forward each day to be an asset well I am with John Deere. Agriculture has always been a passion of mine and working with a great company in the agriculture sector has opened my eyes to the many opportunities here at John Deere but also in ag in general.

Working for Hillman Forage during the summer month requires me to have many skills such as, work long hours, self starter problem solve, motivate other employees, mechanical abilities, general knowledge of farming practices, and some customer service skill.

Working for Dallco farms was a great experience. I forged great relationships with management, making it a great place to work. I was able to take past experience from other jobs and apply them to Dallco's operation. I learned more about farming practices, furthered my love for agriculture, learned about feedlot operations, and grew my understanding of business.

During the summer months of high school I worked for Fielding farms moving irrigation pipe, cutting hay, and harvesting potatoes. This taught me the value of hard work, how to save budget money, and the basics of farming.
