Helped build many online campaign-driven health programs using Ruby on Rails with a heavy reliance on front-end technologies. Most were completed on accelerated schedules of 3-4 months sometimes working on a team or by oneself.Accomplishments:Built single page online tool (http://www.mapwalk.com) to track walking/running routes using Google Maps API that integrated seamlessly with Health Enhancement Systems' online programs. Allowed users to map routes, save them, and view nearby routes for all users or just within their company. Used for over 5 years before having to be upgraded due to Google retiring version of API consumed.Created JavaScript library using canvas and then later SVG to generate navigable routes rendered on any map image to show a user's progress within a campaign. Highly modular that allowed plugins from anything as simple as adding icons to a route to animating the movement when new progress is added. These plugins could easily be written and added or removed to account for different map route needs.Completely re-architected online campaign program software using test driven development that focused on building a core product using many different gems. Lead a team of 2-3 developers building backend API that covered many features such has creating teams, recording physical activity, and managing content that could be used by a website and mobile. With backend finished, worked on creating a single page app using AngularJS that could be used by both users and administrators.

Worked as a co-op programmer during college learning many frontend and backend technologies while building/updating websites and desktop applications used by thousands of Dow Corning employees.Accomplishments:Built ASP website using AJAX that allowed employees to easily look up retention codes and time periods for sensitive documents.Wrote software to generate labels with barcodes that identified location and sensitivity of documents stored in retention center.Under the direction of a Dow Corning scientist, created C# .NET desktop software for speeding up the work of creating bath solutions used as the backing of stickers. The program accepted many different variables and displayed which materials would be required to correctly create new solution.Helped upgrade complex award nomination and voting system used by Dow Corning to recognize accomplishments within the company over the previous year. Integrated into Dow Corning's intranet using C# and .NET while also working within the confines of a lengthy database change approval process.
