My parent taught me to live a life of servitude. As a young adult I went on a couple mission trips that sowed the seeds of missions in my life. My wife and I began sponsoring a couple orphan children in 2012 that some friends of ours were ambassadors for. In 2015 we felt called to serve this mission in person. We went in July 2016 on a trip that changed our lives. Upon returning to the US I decided to leave the oilfield and put my psychology degree to use and now serve some of the most intense children in Louisiana as a mental health specialist. We returned to Zambia in 2019 with our children who were 10 and 17 at the time. Now we are working toward serving more wherever we feel needed and led.
