Being risk averse by nature, I was pulled to take this leap for what’s always mattered most to me… people. It’s been one hell of a journey that has led me to realize that I truly am made of what all entrepreneurs are fueled by… Strategy, Drive and a Passion.I’ve always been a numbers guy, and all the calculations of the PEO world came easy to me. I could make a CFO’s head spin by easily taking 23 lines of their GL…and turning it into one single line item. To me, it was a puzzle in need of solving. Strategy.Growing up in St. Louis, I was naturally a Cardinals fan. To this day I could tell you what the pitch count was in the bottom of the 6th in the 1989 world series game. (Yes, this does drive my wife crazy), but I put this skill to use when I graduated from Mizzou with a degree in economics and headed to the corporate world in a poorly tailored tuxedo and a stack of business cards.My competitive nature has always driven me to success at almost any cost. From playing 3 straight quarters as the high school quarterback with a compound broken big toe, to playing baseball all through high school on one of the top traveling teams in the country; I’ve always been driven. In more recent years, this never quit attitude led me to travel 400,000 miles a year to take the PNW region of Insperity from being ranked dead last to 2nd in the nation. Drive.It wasn’t until 3 years ago when my underlying passion fully revealed itself. After spending 17 years helping SMB business owners optimize their human capital potential and maximize their discretionary effort, I shifted my career to yet again help small businesses grow by filling the top of their sales funnels in an outsourced capacity. I made this shift in order to get off the road and be a better father for my 3 beautiful young daughters.
