Ryan has been working in healthcare his entire life, from volunteering as a teenager at the local medical center, to becoming a CNA, and finally riding on the ambulance as a paramedic throughout college and graduate school (first round). Through these experiences Ryan developed a passion for caring for patients, especially the elderly, and after receiving his Master's in Healthcare Administration he became a licensed nursing home administrator in 2013. In 2023 he completed a second Master’s degree focused on Healthcare Law and Corporate Compliance. Ryan has worked for both for-profit and non-profit organizations, and currently serves as Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer for Reedsburg Area Medical Center, an independent health system consisting of a critical access hospital, rural health clinic, specialty clinic, pharmacies, business health, and post-acute services. Ryan oversees RAMC's human resources, rehab, dietary, and environment of care departments, adult day services, independent living units, assisted living, and skilled nursing facilities. Ryan also serves as the Ethics Council Chair and Foundation Director for the organization. He is an ex officio member and liaison to the Boards of Directors for Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center, the Ridgeview Heights Independent Living Corporation, and the Reedsburg Area Medical Center Foundation. He is a member of the American Health Law Association and is trained in Healthcare Arbitration. Ryan is passionate about making a difference for those he serves, including the patients, staff, organization and community.
