About Ryan Shenk

Born and raised in Napa, I grew up in the heralded Napa Valley wine country. Upon moving to San Luis Obispo to attend Cal Poly, I worked full time as a manager at Woodstock's Pizza while studying for my Business Management degree. A true love for wine and food hospitality was born and I stayed on the Central Coast for 8 years pursuing that passion.I continued restaurant management upon returning to Napa - taking on roles with talented chefs at locations such as the Napa Valley Marriott and The Martini House. It was during this time that the passion for wine and food began to develop into a refined palate, combining passion with real world education. Once the long restaurant hours started to take their toll, I decided to put my Business Management degree to a different use and took on the role of Director of Marketing for Signorello Estate. This small production, family owned winery was the perfect place to take the knowledge I had of wine and marry it with my business marketing sense. As the Marketing Director / Wine Club Manager, I garnered relationships with both retail and personal buyers while building the winery's brand name in a very competitive market - locally and nationally. During my tenure with Signorello, I was able to build the company's social networking campaign from the ground up, build and manage a hands on and personal relationship with members in a growing wine club, design marketing materials for the tasting room and national sales departments and was honored to be the Social Media Committee Chair for the Napa Valley Vintners.Food and wine aren't limited to my professional life. My personal time is filled with the world class entertainment Napa Valley area has to offer. I enjoy wine tasting with colleagues, hosting tastings at San Francisco Giants' pregames and playing golf on the local courses. Taking advantage of some of California's notable restaurants ensures my palate is always being exercised - with friends and family alike...
