Natural Resources Biologist- Aquatic Sciences
Biologist-Aquatic Sciences for the Forest County Potawatomi Community. Manages the Clean Water Act 106 Water Quality Program as well as the CWA 319 Non-Point Source Pollution Program. Routinely samples effluents for NPDES permits. Conducts biological assessments such as fish surveys, aquatic plant surveys, macroinvertebrate surveys, and habitat assessments. Also takes surface and groundwater samples from 20+ surface water resources for 12 different parameters to include total phosphorus, chlorophyll-a, total nitrogen, etc. Responsible for calculating statistics for population estimates and health recommendations to the community such as providing mercury consumption recommendations for the FCP tribal community.
Fuels Laboratory Technician
Directed the Fuels Quality Control and Analysis program. Inspected and isolated questionable aviation fuel and cryogenic products by lock-out tag-out. Sampled and tested for particulates, density, additives, water, and conductivity. Received the 9th Air Force Safety Award while in this department.Operated Fuels Service Center (FSC) to monitor all product movements and transactions to ensure timely response to mission requirements. Coordinated vehicle maintenance and refueling requirements with supported agencies and ensured appropriate prioritization of support requirements. Ensured accuracy of receipt, inventory, and issue documents in accordance with Defense Logistics Agency policy. Received multiple awards and decorations while working in this section to include: 2nd Air Force Achievement Medal, the Pitsenbarger award for academic excellence, and the 23rd Logistics Squadron Airman of The Year Award.
Chemistry Research Teaching Assistant
Conduct research and procedures that will be implemented into the new Chemistry - Instrumental Methods and Techniques curriculum at UW-Stout.
