Forecasting & Budgeting - Lead point-person for Division's quarterly forecasting (Earnings and CapEx) and annual budgeting activities. This involvement includes preparation of models to assist with budgeting tasks, review and analysis of plant-submitted budgets, as well as preparation of presentation materials for Board of Directors. Importantly, a comprehensive, streamlined budgeting model was created and implemented across all our plants. This drove a 70% reduction in man hours to complete the budgeting process.2. Financial Analysis - Partners with leaders across the Division in many functional areas to provide analysis that helps achieve Divisional objectives. This includes analysis in areas such as P&L performance, customer margins, working capital, operational metrics, sales analysis, and supply chain initiatives. Primary focus on identifying performance issues, highlighting trends, and quantifying improvement opportunities. 3. Month-End Close – Review, analyze, and record several complex and critical accounting topics, including the following: Inventory valuation (variance capitalization, intercompany profit in inventory, FOB Origin inventory in-transit, lower-of-cost-or-market reserves), Revenue Recognition (FOB Destination deferral, Bill and Hold analysis, multiple element arrangements, customer rebates).4.
