I am a senior executive with over 24 years of experience in leading healthcare operations and finance teams, with a CPA credential and a passion for improving patient care and outcomes. As the COO of ReFocus Eye Health, a regional private equity backed ophthalmology medical practice, I am responsible for establishing key operating processes and procedures, optimizing the infrastructure, and enhancing the financial performance of the organization, which has 800+ colleagues, 29 practices and 69 practice locations in seven states. In my previous roles, I have demonstrated success in acting as a change agent for enterprises undergoing operational restructuring, acquisitions, system migrations, and project management. I have also leveraged my skills in data analytics, strategic planning, business development, and staff development to create value and growth for the organizations I have served. I have a strong background in audit, internal controls, and management consulting, having been trained by PricewaterhouseCoopers, one of the “Big 4,” and consulted with various clients in the healthcare industry. Further, for over 12 years, I served as an adjunct assistant professor of healthcare administration at NYU and a senior adjunct faculty at UMass Lowell, where I taught graduate courses in healthcare finance and accounting.
