About Ryan Sneed
In 2011, my wife and I purchased acreage in Dittmer, MO with plans for a great garden and a simple nearby getaway place for the weekend. Since that time, we've improved the property by first constructing a 9 acre lake, putting in a vegetable garden, building a 3 acre peach and apple orchard, planting multiple varieties of grapes, and building a barn/winery building. Every year we continue to expand the grape and orchard plantings, erect more trellises, and plant more varietals. The 2022 season was our first significant harvest of grapes with just 300lbs of Chambourcin, 200lbs of Concord, and 300lbs of Diamond. Those grapes made 16 gallons of white wine and 18 gallons of Red. The white was bottled in December, while the Reds are maturing on Oak for the next 12-18 months. This years harvest may approach 1500-2000lbs when our expansion field of Marquette begins producing in earnest. Our goal is to continue vineyard and winery expansion throughout our retirement with a end goal of producing outstanding wines for family and friends.
