I graduated high school one year early and enlisted in the United States Air Force. I spent 4 years on active duty before separating. I knew immediately I wanted to pursue agriculture because of my upbringing on a farm. I worked at Nutrien Ag solutions until policy changes that I believed were morally wrong drove me away. I started welding to help a previous employer temporarily before moving to Cargill Inc. I was working there when I was give the opportunity of a lifetime to pack bags and head west to the Northern Plains in the Red River Valley of North Dakota. I now work for a farmer during spring for custom seeding solutions and the fall for custom fertilizer application. In between him and I both work for an engineering firm who designs, fabricated, and sells replacement and improved parts for agriculture equipment.
