As a staff product designer on Shopify Markets, I've enabled millions of merchants to easily scale their businesses globally. I mentor our UX and product teams to ensure products at all phases meet a high-quality bar. I've led design and product strategy on dozens of projects, ranging from vision sprints to MVPs, 0-1 launches to 1-10 improvements, responsive web to native apps, system migrations to design system contributions. I manage stakeholders from senior developers to Shopify VPs, and partner with teams across Shopify on shared solutions. As a senior product designer on Expedia Flights, I improved the flight shopping experience for millions of customers. I led vision sprints to design the future of trip discovery, seat selection, fare upgrades, and flight credit redemption. I increased efficiency of multiple UX teams by creating a new project intake framework, contributed several design components + principles to Expedia's new design system, and coordinated ~5 research studies.• Led design of flight credit redemption system – enabled millions of customers with billions in COVID-19 flight credits to search and redeem credits for flights on Expedia.com (decreasing customer support cost), and aligned with Expedia SLT on an improved greenpath system (improving credit redemption awareness + usage)• Led redesign of seat selection flow – moved seat selection earlier in shopping funnel (increasing funnel progression and reducing abandoned carts), optimized IA + usability for mobile devices, improved flight navigation + interaction patterns, applied new UI foundations and components from Expedia’s new design system, contributed new UI components and patterns to design system, and improved keyboard + screen reader accessibility• Led design of Covid enhancements – designed a new messaging + filter system to highlight flights with “no change fees”, increasing customer confidence during peak-Covid cancellations• Led design of flight price tracking system – shipped a multi-platform price tracking feature to alert customers via email + app notifications when flight prices change, increasing confidence to checkout
