As a staff product designer on Shopify Markets, I've enabled millions of merchants to easily scale their businesses globally. I mentor our UX and product teams to ensure products at all phases meet a high-quality bar. I've led design and product strategy on dozens of projects, ranging from vision sprints to MVPs, 0-1 launches to 1-10 improvements, responsive web to native apps, system migrations to design system contributions. I manage stakeholders from senior developers to Shopify VPs, and partner with teams across Shopify on shared solutions. I’ve led 4 research studies with dozens of merchants, 2 in-person team workshops, and 2 Hack Days projects.• Champion the Markets Quality effort – recruited 17 contributors over 1 year to collectively log 130+ production issues, resolve 90+ production issues, build key components and usage guidelines of the new Settings design system, refactor 6 Markets pages onto the new Settings design system, and resolve 33 Polaris Gen 3 migration issues• Co-designed Shopify Markets – led design of the Markets recommendation system and onboarding features (increasing product adoption + CVR of international buyers), the Markets CRUD system, and a system migration that unblocked thousands of merchants to migrate to Markets• Co-designed Shopify Markets Pro – led design of sell features that increased merchant adoption, and a market expansion system that enabled instant global selling for thousands of merchantshttps://www.shopify.com/markets

As a senior product designer on Expedia Flights, I improved the flight shopping experience for millions of customers. I led vision sprints to design the future of trip discovery, seat selection, fare upgrades, and flight credit redemption. I increased efficiency of multiple UX teams by creating a new project intake framework, contributed several design components + principles to Expedia's new design system, and coordinated ~5 research studies.• Led design of flight credit redemption system – enabled millions of customers with billions in COVID-19 flight credits to search and redeem credits for flights on Expedia.com (decreasing customer support cost), and aligned with Expedia SLT on an improved greenpath system (improving credit redemption awareness + usage)• Led redesign of seat selection flow – moved seat selection earlier in shopping funnel (increasing funnel progression and reducing abandoned carts), optimized IA + usability for mobile devices, improved flight navigation + interaction patterns, applied new UI foundations and components from Expedia’s new design system, contributed new UI components and patterns to design system, and improved keyboard + screen reader accessibility• Led design of Covid enhancements – designed a new messaging + filter system to highlight flights with “no change fees”, increasing customer confidence during peak-Covid cancellations• Led design of flight price tracking system – shipped a multi-platform price tracking feature to alert customers via email + app notifications when flight prices change, increasing confidence to checkout

I also contributed design components + principles to QVC's web and app design systems, and helped coordinate 3 research studies.• Led redesign of QVC web product listing – increased funnel progression by optimizing IA + interaction patterns for mobile devices, building a new filter system, removing unnecessary content, and creating a standardized badging system• Co-designed new iOS/Android component design system – reduced content management effort by aligning web + app onto a shared component library, utilizing a mix of native + custom components to improve adoption of iOS and Android apps• Co-designed QVC Apple Watch app – as part of the Platform Innovation team, I designed key pages of the first Apple Watch app based on just-released Apple Watch SDK guidelines, enabling QVC shoppers to view special-value products directly from their Apple Watch
