Really tiny things can have monumental impacts. I conducted research in the Melosh Group in the Materials Science Department with a focus on materials synthesis and nano-characterization. Specifically, I used nano diamonds (think nano Legos) to build never seen before materials (novel chalcogenides) with extremely "hot" properties. Such new crystals may find application in quantum computing, biolabelling, and energy conversion systems

Managed social media and communication between the Stanford Career Development Center and the Stanford community. Ability to adapt to dynamic situations, easily transition into new deadlines and requirements, all while maintaining positive communication with supervisors and coworkers.

My work in the Tang group contributed to a publication in SoftMatter ("Break-up of droplets in a concentrated emulsion flowing through a narrow constriction"). I examined the trade off between the flow rate of microdroplets (water-in-oil) and scanning accuracy in high throughput microfluidic systems. I wrote custom scripts in MatLab, designed fluidic channels in AutoCAD, and conducted image analysis using a highspeed camera.
