I am currently looking for work in the Hood River, Orgeon area while finishing up a few incomplete classes online due to poor health at the end of the Spring semester in 2022. I will have my Bachelor's of Science in Environmental and Ecosystem Sciences from Washington State University once completed and hope to use that degree to leave a meaningful impact on the Earth. I have a passion for the outdoors and would love to find work outside. Hopefully it's environmental work of some sort, but I am open to whatever opportunities come my way. While at WSU, I worked as a clerical assistant doing typical office work and I was apart of an independent college radio station called KZUU where I was a DJ with a weekly show, and an indie music director.I am currently finishing up an internship with The Phoenix Conservancy, a non-profit that aims to help restore native plant populations to the Palouse Prairie. While there I worked in harsh weather conditions while collecting seeds, planting seeds, and landscaping. One of the jobs we did I'm most proud of is creating erosion control methods on a hillside of Pullman Disposal Services. They needed to reduce the amount of runoff from a hill behind their worksite and we were able to do so by planting native plants that dig deeper into the soil than non-native plants. To go along with this we created areas mixed of compost and dirt and packed them in to act as a stopper for any runoff that did still occur from the hill. Thankfully this worked and PDS was very happy with the work we did!

This was a customer service position that included job responsibilities, which were mainly cleaning the facilities that the patrons used. You were expected to know everything about the different weight lifting machines, how to take care of them and what to do in situations where they broke. Because of this job I became CPR certified and knew how to.
