VIA information tools is a ISV and software services company whose core product consists of a flexible Manufacturing Execution System (MES) package.Working for VIA, I was a member of the R&D team focused on innovating new product features and capabilities based on market research, monitoring industry trends and legislative manufacturing requirements as well as individual customer requests. I was also involved in optimizing the dynamic execution engine in the product’s application server and implementing new communication protocols in the product’s communication server to expand product capabilities to communicate with additional plant-floor devices.
