I am a Research Scientist I at Moffitt Cancer Center driven to help address unmet clinical needs. Working in a multifaceted, collaborative team enables me to identify novel molecular and cellular drivers of multiple myeloma progression. My research aims to uncover new molecular targets that regulate resistance to conventional therapies and to develop novel strategies to prevent refractory disease and extend patient survival. I have a PhD in Translational Oncology from The University of Sheffield, where I studied the role of NFκB signaling in breast cancer-induced osteolysis and skeletal tumor growth, leading to the publication of several papers and the establishment of a start-up.

IKK-Epsilon is a key protein in NFkB signalling pathway and it has been found to play a key role in signal transduction in mammalian cell. In addition, it has been identified as a breast cancer oncogene. My work will attempt to establish whether small molecule inhibitors that selectively target and inhibit IKK- Epsilon might be of value in the treatment of advanced breast cancer.
