Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, Boise, Idaho

Lead strategy/operations for Level II trauma center & freestanding emergency department with 53K annual visits. ► Directed implementation of EMR system (Cerner) in the Emergency Department. ► Established coordinated approach to monitoring quality, benchmarks, protocols, and use of telemedicine, transport, and referral systems. ► Negotiated comprehensive contracts with physicians and vendors.► Developed structure to obtain Chest Pain Accreditation by the Society of Chest Pain Centers.

Boise, Idaho

Led initiatives for cardiac, vascular, general surgery, and emergency services. Drove strategic planning and program development for five emergency departments (Boise, Eagle, Nampa, ID; Ontario, Baker City, OR). Directed $3M operational budget for cardiac / vascular services.► Ranked among the nation’s top 5% cardiac surgery programs and 10% vascular surgery programs.► Negotiated / managed physician contracts and developed performance improvement programs.► Secured $236K grant from HRSA and implemented a Human Simulation Laboratory. ► Stabilized cardiac surgery program by recruiting new cardiologists and increased procedure volume.
