I began my career as an illustrator and designer chasing a passion for creating immersive and inviting imagery. These design pursuits led me to the discovery of user experience design and for a time I sought only to improve the way in which people interacted with the world around them. In this endeavor I discovered a disconnect between designers and developers which hindered a teams ability to produce great products. To attempt to close this gap, I took up software development. Over the years I grew as a developer and specialized in system architecture and user interfaces. My time as a senior software developer and architect honed my skills in project management, team development, and leadership. My background in design kept me always focused on end user experience. It is because of these experiences that I have dedicated myself to the craft of software product development. I believe it utilizes the best of the abilities I have to offer and provides me the opportunity to continually improve upon the fields that I am so passionate about.
