Started from 6.1.2 and now run 7.9.x- RPM based environments built and maintained by internal tooling--these are deployments that are outside the puppet infrastructure in order to have more flexibility in their configurations. These are a different use case than typical monitoring in that elastic is being used as a backend for a search feature--similar to linkedin's search, as well as a bitbucket environment for searching through code bases.- Beats products deployed typically through puppet, or directly as RPMs on supported teams environments.
