Ryan Tomlinson graduated with a Master of Public Policy and Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Prior to graduating in 2023 he worked with the City of San Luis Obispo’s Community Development Department. During this time, he coauthored a city ordinance for Downtown Development to comply with State climate and housing goals. Ryan also contributed towards various city policies to mitigate environmental, housing, and homelessness issues. While at Cal Poly he served on his dean’s advisory committee and was a founding officer for the Graduate Student Association.
