I direct the school district's band program from the beginning level through the high school level. In this role, I coordinate performances within and outside the school, I plan the budget for the entire program on a yearly basis, I communicate with parents and community members, I promote our program's brand online, and I develop and implement the curriculum for our instrumental music and music appreciation classes.

Kingston, Ar

I coordinated both the vocal and instrumental music programs along with the elementary music program. I also created and implemented the music curriculum for K-8 music classes, which consisted of a spiral curriculum that started with very basic music skills at the Kindergarten level and led to students in the upper grades eventually playing instruments, singing, and composing their own music using standard notation and digital music programs.This position taught me how to reach learners across a wide range of abilities, which sparked my passion for designing adaptable curricula that can be changed to meet a variety of learning styles.
