Ryan Van Gennip – Founder & Director, Rhythm SectionWith over 25 years of experience in the music industry, Ryan Van Gennip brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and versatility to every project. As one of the founding directors of Rhythm Section (RS), a dynamic music company that specializes in Contemporary Roots music, offering comprehensive services in touring, marketing, management, and consultancy. Ryan's career spans numerous roles, including a tenure as manager and agent for the renowned Australian metal band Sunk Loto. He is also a co-founder of Australian Music Week (AMW), where he served as marketing and production manager, shaping one of Australia’s premier music conferences. Beyond his industry achievements, Ryan has dedicated over two decades to education at TAFE NSW, where he has held pivotal positions, such as Head Teacher of Music at Ultimo, Team Leader for the Sydney Region of Arts, and Project Manager. He has also made significant contributions as an online course creator and educator. Ryan’s musical journey extends to both studio and stage, having toured nationally and internationally as a bassist. He currently performs regularly with Chase the Sun, Claude Hay, and Nathan Cavaleri.
