Leads all aspects of the development of policies, standards, and emergency response playbooks, promotes risk management and continuity of operations, and directs strategic planning and implemented support plans for the Capitol Region’s largest DoD airfield; manages and coordinates the installation’s Operational Full Spectrum Mission Readiness program to include $5.6B in assets, 87 organizations, and Presidential support; leads and managed the installation’s Crisis Action Team, coordinating response and support to any crisis, major event, natural or man-made disaster, or national and international level events in the National Capitol Region while interfacing with federal, local, and DoD partners. Set and steered strategic direction to DoD and 29 other Federal/Local agencies during the Nation’s largest crises and events, including the events of January 6th, 2021, the COVID-19 pandemic, Presidential events, and unrest in Washington DC. Liaised with global security partners, law enforcement, and public safety to ensure emergencies plans were coordinated appropriately, meet governance standards, and protect environmental health; built relationships to ensure future plan development and continuity.
