• Assessor for the City of Brooks; Towns of Bassano, Bow Island, Cardston, Magrath, Milk River, Picture Butte, Raymond, Redcliff, Stavely, Vauxhall & Vulcan, Villages of Coutts, Duchess, Lomond, Rosemary, Stirling & Warner, Alberta and the Tsuu'tina Nation.• Inspect, measure, inventory, and value properties in various towns and village throughout Southern Alberta, using mass appraisal techniques and CAMAlot. • Regularly work with and interpret building plans, sub-division plans, and apply exemptions. • Perform full sales reviews, ensuring sales used for analysis are “arms-length” transactions, by speaking with vendors and purchasers and determine the underlying motivations for the sale. • Conduct regular data and valuation audits, ensuring data consistency and equity. • Participate in roll defence by identifying the issues of appeal through interaction with property owners, reviewing appealed properties for accuracy and equity, and preparing a defence to be used at Local Assessment Review Board (LARB) and/or Composite Assessment Review Board (CARB) hearings. • Present information as an expert witness at LARB hearings.• Provide excellent customer service on telephone and on site inquires by resolving issues quickly, offering solutions and explaining the processes and legislations that Benchmark Assessment follows in determining value and classification.

• Inspect, measure, inventory, and value general industrial commercial & multi-family properties in Mackenzie, Prince George, McBride and Valemount and their respective rural areas, as well as commercial strata properties throughout Northern BC using mass appraisal techniques.• Regularly work with and interpret building plans, sub-division plans, and apply exemptions.• Perform full sales reviews, ensuring sales used for analysis are “arms-length” transactions, by speaking with vendors and purchasers and determine the underlying motivations for the sale.• Conduct regular data and valuation audits, ensuring data consistency and equity.• Participate in roll defence by identifying the issues of appeal through interaction with property owners, reviewing appealed properties for accuracy and equity, and preparing a defence to be used at the Property Assessment Review Panel.• Presented information as an expert witness at Property Assessment Review Panel hearings.• Participate in the Property Assessment Appeal Board process regularly attending Appeal Management Conferences as an expert witness and conversing with appellants and property agents.• Assisted in supervision and training of new staff or recently transitioning staff. • Provided excellent customer service on telephone, over the counter, and on site inquires by resolving issues quickly, offering solutions and explaining the processes and legislations that BC Assessment follows in determining value and classification.
