Some initiatives involved internal infrastructure upgrades whereas others dealt with player-facing lottery products. I gained exposure to the RFP creation and scoring process. The projects I delivered included internal team members from impacted areas of the organization as well as external vendors that provided additional expertise. In this role I contributed to the continuous process improvement by edited templates and procedures, and by developing tools that facilitated the day-to-day efforts of my colleagues. Project teams included up to 50 resources from across the globe, while I directly managed the career of up to 6 software programmers through coaching and performance reviews. In this role I also contributed to the continuous improvement of templates and process documentation. I built a tool that allowed colleagues to import an MS Project schedule into an MS Excel spreadsheet which allowed them to more efficiently forecast project budgets based upon resource demands. I provided mentoring to an employee who transitioned into the project management role. I was also called upon to provide high order of magnitude estimations to facilitate sales team negotiations and to supply software information and screen shots to the bid team while responding to RFPs.
