ADAMS is an independent, objective consulting and program management firm exclusively focused on capital project planning and delivery. As an Associate Project Manager Intern, my main duty is to assist the Senior Project Manager daily on geographically dispersed projects ranging from hospitals to upscale residential projects. The daily responsibilities that I am tasked with include: leading and facilitating meetings with both general contractors and subcontractors, traveling to different sites to observe progress and document needed changes on different platforms such as Excel and Word that are of vital importance to the success of a project. ADAMS Management expanded this summer into residential projects and allotted significant responsibility to me in helping manage and facilitate the planning processes involved in making the current project a success. I led multiple conferences between the general contractors and specific subcontractors discussing project timelines. These conferences were of great importance as each subcontractor was able to clarify where they stood on their job and allowed us to adjust the project timeline so that the process is able to run smoothly.
