Analytics for a Common Track Manager (ACTM)- Participate in daily scrums and monthly sprint planning while tracking issues with Jira to adhere to Agile methodologies when working with different development teams on the same code base.- Rewrote a Java application that ingested and parsed text files to create data in our PostgreSQL/MySQL databases to instead created Structured Objects in our Chronicle Hash Map, which vastly improved performance due to its in-memory, persisted data store.- Designed and developed a Spark application, which is scheduled with a cron job, that queries Accumulo for potential tracks to merge and parallelizes pairs of tracks to determine master and slave tracks based on their creation time. - Monitored the Spark app with yammer metrics, which are sent to Kafka to be analyzed by Elasticsearch and KibanaSAGE LOOP- Utilized React.js and CSS transitions to develop the front end for a dashboard web service that monitors the availability of over 10 different services and displays details such as uptime and server load.- Managed webpack, babel, and various Node packages with npm in order to transpile and bundle JavaScript code and ensure the application would work consistently on all modern browsers.- Tested all front end code with Jest and Enzyme as well as documented the code base with JSDoc.- Created REST endpoints with Python and Flask, which were all tested with PyTest, to monitor the services and email a set of configurable users if the services were in critical condition.
