Major Projects:Jim Thorpe Pressure Reinforcement Project - An estimated 5 mile total high pressure distribution line to improve pressures in the Jim Thorpe system. Due to large usage on this on way feed, new, larger diameter pipe had to be run. The project involved coordination with third party contractors for construction, inspection and surveying, as well as working with a multitude of people, both customers and citizens to install pipeline. Lehigh River Bore - A 550 linear foot bore under the Lehigh River in Jim Thorpe PA. Had to work with the Pennsylvania Utility Commission to ensure bore calculations were to specification. Maximum stress and force calculations had to be provided to address concerns. Had to schedule and manage a third party boring contractor and coordinate with railroads, boroughs and a market owner to allow for smooth operation.Swamp Pike System Reinforcement Project - A three mile high pressure system reinforcement project to allow a large commercial property to use their full potential load. This project involved a third party engineering firm as well as environmental coordination to work near an endangered species habitat. Other Responsibilities:Managed Allentown as well as the Lehighton line (spanning from Palmerton up through Jim Thorpe). Designed and implemented large commercial meter sets.Created new regulator stations.Put together job packages to get reviewed and approved by board members.Communicate with municipalities to establish a work schedule based on planned paving.Organized and executed contractor bidding processes.

Projects:Export Wheel Cleat - Created a fixture to hold wheel cleats in place to be properly tightened. When not held in place they would cock in the housing, loosen and result in wheels falling off. After I left my internship I was informed the idea was being submitted for patent recognition and Mack now has all my designs.Export Stantion - Created a fixture to allow workers to sub-assemble a Cummins Natural Gas 3-way catalytic coverter and heat shield within company's ergonomic requirements.SCR Heat Shield Fixture - Created a checking gauge to determine if the fuel tank straps were tightened to the right distance as to allow the heat shield to be installed further down the line without manipulating fuel strap bolts.Body Mounting Fixture - Created a fixture to allow for concrete truck bodies to be mounted level when at the frame facility.Turning Tools - Designed attachment for 3/4" socket heads to turn both Cummins and Mack engines to check for internal problems.Fuel Lines - Conducted research into why designated fuel line lengths were incorrect within Mack system. Found that certain engine and fuel tank combinations incorrectly calculated the lengths for the fuel lines.Standoff Brackets - Another research project as to why some standoff brackets were either missing or not called out on assembly sheets. Concluded that placement of crossmembers, fuel tank mounting brackets and other brackets would override the placement of standoff brackets within the system automatically. My main responsibilities included creating custom tooling and fixtures to increase efficiency on the assembly line. I also participated in specialty projects such as installation of compressed natural gas tanks, and a custom catwalk to install roof fairings. I worked primarily with ProEngineer and Autocad to create parts drawings to submit to layout for manufacturing.

My responsibilities included laying out lift axles for specialty trucks and adding the required air needed to actuate them. Used ProEngineer and Photoshop to create the layouts and arrange them in a form easy for the assembly workers to understand. I became very familiar with the different systems involved in the trucks. I manually marked frames for the correct position of lift axles. Managed the specialty vehicle option center for a week and aided in pre-delivery inspections of UPS trucks. Created a part database to allow both Mack and Volvo part numbers to be searched together without having to do a systems part lookup and also included the section they were located within the option center.
