Developed a complete reconstructed human epidermal (RHE) model in order to add a new, highly demanded service to Zen-Bio’s portfolio. This RHE model will be used for ZenBio contract assays and will also be available for retail. Because one of ZenBio's many specialties is primary cell isolation, we will be able to provide RHEs to our clients at a reduced cost. Optimized the process of isolating RNA from human skin samples using the Precellys Evolution and specific bead kits. This process yields very high quality and quantity RNA as well as provides high-throughput / minimal contamination compared to previous processes. We now have increased capability to offer larger scale RNA isolation from skin to our clientsInvestigated the effects of novel ZenBio exosomes on ex-vivo skin, reconstructed human epidermis, and keratinocytes using the Asahi Max-303 UV Solar Simulator.
