Founded a $1,000 Merit-Based Scholarship Program to be awarded each year to UMD’s AGNR and IAA students.

Alpha Gamma Rho's Alpha Theta chapter has a chief philanthropy cause: Suicide Prevention and Awareness. We dedicated our organization's philanthropic endeavors to this cause specifically following the death of brother Gary “Mitch” Gryszkiewicz who committed suicide in the summer of 2014 while still a University of Maryland undergraduate student and a member of our fraternity. As a fraternity, we are passionately involved in remembering Mitch, celebrating his life, and nurturing his family, especially his mother, known to us as Momma Wanda. Mitch continues to add to our passion to raise awareness and contribute to suicide prevention and advocate for the support of anyone suffering from depression or suicidal thoughts.
