HMRC has a need for a Non-Repudiable data storage mechanism. I joined as this was easily one of the most interesting challenges I'd come across in a while and the time was right for building such a cryptographically complicated platform.We managed to overcome significant organisational inertia in order to use managed AWS components that allowed for this.

Although my background is largely C# / F#.net, this role has seen me re-skill in the JVM platform, specifically Scala and big-data / fast-data technologies.Working with Scala / Java / Cassandra / Kafka / Spark / Datomic and chums to build an immutable data platform.The larger platform is designed to encourage application developers to adopt a data event.

Contracted to assist with the maintenance and development of CA's interest rate risk platform. This involves re-architecting an existing FX risk platform in order to generalise it.
