I began my career in Enid, OK, reading title for regional lenders, before returning home to Oklahoma City to work at First American Title as Underwriting Counsel/Senior Underwriting Counsel. I continued my title work and practiced more broadly as the Real Estate Practice Lead for Munson & McMillin, P.C. in Edmond. On January 1, 2020, I partnered with Alee Gossen to create Gossen and Schaller, PLLC. I am enthusiastically in favor of digital abstracts. As a member of the Title Examination Standards committee for several years now, I have worked first hand on drafting new standards or revising existing related to Stray Instruments, Bankruptcy, Covid-19, Remote Online Notarization, and others. As a title examiner, I regularly render more than 1,000 surface title opinions a year. Some of my past title projects include portions of the Kickapoo Turnpike and the recent Creek Turnpike and I-44 expansions, nursing homes, apartment complexes, church renovations, purchases in trust for a Native American tribe, the purchase of a chain of convenience stores/gas stations, as well as reading title on a number of matters that were pending before either the Oklahoma Court of Appeals or the Oklahoma Supreme Court. The majority of my current exams are within the boundaries of the 5 Tribes and I am both comfortable and experienced with reading restricted Native American Title. I am actively involved with the Oklahoma City Real Property Lawyers Association (President - 2022), the Oklahoma Title Examination Standards Committee (former legislative monitor), and the Oklahoma Land Title Association (Education and Government Affairs committees). I am a graduate of the Oklahoma Bar Association Leadership Academy and the Oklahoma Land Title Association Leadership Academy.I am currently open to accepting new abstract companies and title insurance agents in Oklahoma as clients.
