I have over 25 years of experience across a number of successful fields including tourism start-ups and State Planning.I have always been interested in history, geography, culture and travel, which has underpinned my passion for tourism and conservation of both the natural and built environment. After nearly a decade implementing the Perth Metropolitan Region Scheme (1963 legislation which dictates how Perth will grow), I pivoted to a career focusing on tourism. My award winning initiatives in the tourism sector include Two Feet & a Heartbeat and Matagarup Zip+ClimbIn 2015, I co-founded the Museum of Perth, which chronicles the social, cultural, political and architectural history of Perth.

Two friends, who had spent many of their years travelling realised that some cities are harder to understand than others. Our tours are designed to be conversational, informative, engaging and entertaining. We have built a reputation as a leader in contemporary interpretation. We focus on the who, what, where, when, why and how. We paint a picture of the destination you are visiting. Two Feet tours will help you to understand Perth by discovering the people, events and decisions made that ultimately shaped it into the evolving city that it is today. All tour material is fully researched to ensure the stories and information presented is based on historically accurate and referenced sources. This is achieved through partnerships and relationships with the National Trust, The Heritage Council, Heritage Perth and by engaging state government departments. Extensive research is also conducted at the State Library, through internet searches, collection of a comprehensive private library of historical books and journals, as well as collecting firsthand accounts from people who were actually there to witness events. The indigenous content of the tours has been endorsed for accuracy and cultural sensitivity by officers from the Department of Culture and the Arts, as well as respected elders. Due to our sustained excellence, we have were able to expand into Sydney in 2009 and now have a national brand that is trusted by key organisations including Tourism Australia, Tourism Western Australia and Destination NSW. It aims to chronicle the social, cultural, political and architectural history of Perth. It began life as a virtual museum on the social media site Twitter in October 2012, created by Dallas Robertson, a museum studies student at Edith Cowan University. It was expanded into Facebook the following year. In 2014 the still-virtual museum gained local attention when it led a campaign against the City of Perth to save an art deco factory from demolition, which ultimately failed when a Western Australian state minister intervened to support the local government's decision.By July 2015 the cyber Museum of Perth moved a step closer to reality when the Perth History Association was set up comprising members Dallas Robertson, Reece Harley, Ryan Zaknich, Ryan Mossny, Richard Offen and Diana Warnock and the group opened a bricks and mortar version of the museum. The not-for-profit organisation subsequently founded the Museum of Perth. Along with a permanent exhibition on the history of Perth, the museum also contains a micro-cinema and hosts rotating exhibitions on Perth's social history. Show less -
