The Chronicle of Higher Education is a leading newspaper in higher education reporting and job placement with a site that receives 24M unique views a year. They also own The Chronicle of Philanthropy that reports on global philanthropy activity.In this role I performed full-stack development in a Kanban/Agile environment with a focus on front-end, with successful comprehensive rebuild and launch of our flagship sites chronicle.com and philanthropy.com. Other projects have included a full rebuild of our internal customer management tooling, customizations to BrightSpot (Java, JS), building an internal newsletter publishing interface with React and newsletters with MJML, and a JS library for lazy loading used for serving ads.

Euclid Technology builds the ClearVantage SaaS product for association management used worldwide. At Euclid I wrote ~100 highly customizable, reusable modules using HTML, CSS (Flexbox & CSS Grid), jQuery, and JavaScript. I was also a key player in Euclid’s mobile strategy, serving as sole developer of their robust Mobile Team app built in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and using Google’s Material Design standards. The app featured a real-time dynamic chart generator for incoming data using Chart.js. I later expanded the Mobile Team app to provide features for event management (attendee check-ins, etc.), and was named the Lead Mobile Team consultant responsible for pitching the app to client prospects. My efforts led to major sales to a state medical association with 40k+ members and multiple state bar associations.Other projects included building the ClearVantage Community portal (Euclid's premier community interaction and management system), which was implemented with Material Design to further develop Euclid's new image and written in HTML, CSS (Flexbox & CSS Grid), jQuery, and JavaScript. Dopler was a social music sharing system that enabled users to geolocate songs and playlists globally. I wrote a quicksort algorithm to generate and store filtered playlists based on location, genre, mood, and popularity. The product was built using JavaScript, jQuery, React.js, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, AWS S3, ImageMagic, and Google Maps. I also used Omniauth2 Authorization Flow, Materialize, Google Maps and Spotify APIs, and Heroku for hosting.
