I am currently living in the Chicago area, and have lived most of my life in Michigan, where I attended the University of Michigan toward a degree in Screen Arts & Cultures, with a minor in Environmental Science. I've been involved in video production & filmmaking since 2004, having written, produced, directed, and edited several short films. I also have over 20 years of experience in live theatre; including acting, directing, and providing technical assistance.I founded and directed the not-for-profit organization, "Thunder Bay Film Society", dedicated to bringing the art of cinema to Northeast Michigan. We created an annual free outdoor movie series called "Summer Movies by the Bay", as well as an annual international film festival, the "Sunrise 45 Film Festival."I've also taught a filmmaking course at the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary/NOAA, and volunteered many hours as a photographer and video editor.During this time, I was also working full time as the Creative Services Director at WBKB-TV, where I produced award-winning video content in the form of promotional materials and broadcast commercials for local businesses, and award-winning photojournalism to air on the nightly news broadcast.I am passionate about the arts, community-building, environmental issues, and advocating for the under-represented.
