If you missed, he took the time to give you a thoughtful critique that highlighted the areas that were missed along with very specific ideas on how those misses could be avoided. And best of all, this management style produced a great, high performing environment where everyone WANTED to do their best not just for themselves, for the team. Importantly, though, he is a genuinely nice guy whose team looked forward to meetings with him because we knew we'd learn something from our time with him. I loved working for Mike and learned a LOT about management from his direct example."
