PANTAY is a nonprofit youth-led network of LGBTQ+ individuals and allies, organizations, community groups, and other student formations to further equality, respect for human rights, nondiscrimination, and nonviolence. | Quezon City, PhilippinesAs Executive Director, I oversee the organization's overall operations, functions and activities; provide strategic direction and organizational guidance; lead the resource management activities; collaborate with other organizational leaders and members to co-create solutions; and strengthen partnerships and network with other likeminded organizations to forward the LGBTQ+ advocacy.

Prior to the organization's official registration to the Securities and Exchange Commission, I led the implementation of the organization's projects and activities including the Equality Initiatives Program (EQUIP) funded by the National Democratic Institute - a capacity development training program for young LGBTQ+ grassroots leaders and allies for lobbying gender-responsive and -inclusive local reforms which yielded the Malolos City and Pasig City Anti-Discrimination Ordinance of 2022.

As a member of the Board representing PANTAY as a member-organization of CYAN, I ensure that the organization's programs operates within legal and ethical guidelines. I try to contribute in the organization's key role in fundraising efforts and ensuring their fiscal transparency.

As a Consultant, I serve as a resource person, technical expert and training facilitator for the Institute's various capacity building activities. I act as adviser and provide recommendations for possible improvements to existing organizational programs and activities related to democracy and local governance, and harm reduction and drug policy funded by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative.

As Deputy Director, I led the implementation of the organizational programs on (i) health governance, harm reduction and drug policy, (ii) violence against women in public spaces, (iii) community learning and development for COVID-19 response, (iv) democracy. human rights, and local governance. I also acted as assistant researcher for the Institute research on sexual harassment in public spaces, and in violence against women and migration-related services. In between project implementation, I developed new projects and programs, wrote project updates and reports, acted as resource speaker and facilitators for the Institute's events, trainings, and workshops, coordinated with the Executive Director on all administrative and financial concerns, and managed communications with Institute's partners including grant funders such as Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, APCASO, UN Women, UN Trust Fund Against Violence Against Women, Canada Fund for Local Initiatives, American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiatives, British Embassy, Christian Aid, among others.

The Active Citizenship Foundation, Inc. (ACF), which is committed to promoting active citizenship as the main driving force for societal reform and transformation in the Philippines, was founded as a non-stock, non-profit organization and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on November 17, 1999. | Quezon City, PhilippinesAs a Consultant, I provided additional programmatic and administrative assistance to the organization. I became a writer, activity documenter, and administrative and financial support during activities, events, and trainings. I also acted as a facilitator and resource speaker for ACF's activities related to the youth sector.

Together with my fellow Danish project officers, I attended an international youth course on human rights. I also travelled in various parts in the Philippines to provide technical expertise and support youth advocacies. My work required me to train young activists on youth organizing, advocacy and campaigns, resource mobilization, facilitation, gender and feminism, project management, political communications, and lobbying and negotiation for the youth in communities. I also facilitated the evaluation and documentation of their lived experiences as young grassroots activists during the course of the project.

As a support staff, I managed the day-to-day operations in the office, provided detailed accounting on project expenses, established better financial system and policy, and contributed logistical and technical support to the project officers during field visits that results to well-organized activities and trainings.
