We like to invest in the space between the improbable and the impossible - in areas like AI, robotics, future generations of computing.I helped out portfolio companies with recruiting process as well as hands-on recruiting (helped 12 startups with at least one hire). The hires ranged from engineering manager to software engineers to data engineers to hardware engineers.

Worked on Oracle 11g Streams, now part of Oracle GoldenGate, to provide enterprise database replication solutions.

Collaborated on definition and implementation of the Virtual Grid Execution System (vgES), part of the Virtual Grid Application Development Software (VGrADS) project. I helped defined the Virtual Grid Descriptive Language (vgDL) and the architecture for vgES. For vgES, I worked on vgMON, the component responsible for monitoring application expectations. I defined a second order annotation language Expectations Definition Language (eDL) that users can use in conjunction with vgDL to refine their expectations for the virtual grid.For my PhD dissertation research, I have shown that with the appropriate resource abstraction, application performance can be optimized and scheduling can be simplified in a distributed computing environment. Further, I proved that automatic resource specification generation is both feasible and necessary to optimize application performance in a cost-effective manner.
