I am currently employed at CBC St John's as human resources manager. I am responsible for recruiting, relations management, performance management and assessment, workforce planning, skills planning and training, mentorship training, staff development, equity management, policy development and implementation. I am currently employed by the Dutch Reformed Church as a minister of religion in a part time capacity. I hold a part-time position as minister of the Riebeek Valley Community Church.I started my academic career at Stellenbosch University with a BA degree, majoring in Biblical Hebrew. This was followed by a postgraduate Bachelors of Theology. Hereafter I served as a chaplain to the South African Navy. A stint of 14 years in church ministry followed at the Dutch Reformed Church in Riebeek West. I then embarked on a new career in education and training, obtaining a Postgraduate Education Certificate at UNISA. I was appointed HOD for Life Orientation at DF Malan High School. In the following year I was appointed as head of Life Orientation and school counsellor at CBC St John's. I completed a Master of Education degree (Educational Psychology) at Stellenbosch University. The topic of my research was: Exploring Fatalism in Adolescents. I recently completed a certificate course in Human Resources Management at the Stellenbosch University Business SchoolI am interested in jobs in the field of higher education and training, coaching, research and Human Resources Management. My strengths are in the field of skills development, mentorship, leadership development, mediation, forecasting and strategic planning.
