As a final-year Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science Student with a GPA of 6.75, I am deeply committed to healthcare and aspire to make a meaningful impact as a future physician. My academic journey at Griffith University has been enriched by a 14-week placement in Fiji, where I gained hands-on experience in pathology, healthcare systems, and the responsibilities of medical science professionals. These experiences, coupled with my academic achievements, including multiple Griffith Awards for Academic Excellence and top marks in Placement and Histopathology, have solidified my passion for medical science and patient care. My passion for healthcare goes beyond academics, I am an avid advocate for cardiovascular health. In 2023, I completed a 101km ultramarathon, raising $3,700 for the Heart Foundation in honour of family members affected by heart conditions. I also participate annually in marathons for the Movember Foundation, promoting men's health awareness. In addition, as a member of the Griffith University Medical Sciences Club and Griffith University Touch Football team, I have developed strong teamwork and leadership skills, which I believe are essential in healthcare. In my professional experience, I currently work as a Clinical Skills Laboratory Officer at Bond University, where I support medical students in a collaborative learning environment. Additionally, my previous role as a PASS Leader for Chemistry of Biological Systems at Griffith University allowed me to mentor peers and enhance my communication and leadership skills. As I move forward in my journey toward a career in medicine, I am motivated by the opportunity to make a tangible difference in people's lives. My diverse experiences have instilled in me the values of empathy, resilience, and open-mindedness – qualities I am excited to bring into my future career as a physician.
