I also act as a subject matter expert for the firm in review of the firm's impact investments, with a particular emphasis on energy, real estate, water, agriculture, and natural resources. As a Principal of the firm, I serve as a member of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee.

As an advisor, my responsibilities include client portfolio management , client relations, and business development. I work primarily with high-net-worth families, executives and entrepreneurs in the wealth-accumulation phase of their careers, and foundations and endowments. I also act as a subject matter expert for the firm in review of the firm's non-traditional investments, with a particular emphasis on energy, real estate, water, agriculture, and natural resources.

Responsible for developing wind, solar and natural gas facilities throughout seven western states. Our team developed, permitted, financed and entered into a 30-year PPA with Avista Utilities for 105 MW (40 MWa) of wind power generated from the $210 million Palouse Wind Project in Oakesdale, WA. Acquired over 40,000 acres in options, 9,000 acres in leases and purchased over $1 million in fee title real estate. Built a pipeline of 1,250 MW of renewable and natural gas power in the Pacific Northwest.

Responsible for assisting developers, private equity investors, municipalities and private buyers and sellers of water rights throughout the western United States in the procurement and divestiture of water assets. This included producing beneficial use and market analyses, negotiating transactions on behalf of my clients, interfacing between the water right holders and state agencies, and shepherding water rights through the transfer process between seller and buyer.

Responsible for the identification, negotiation and acquisition of valid water rights in specific watersheds throughout Oregon as part of BPA's mitigation strategyIn charge of water right transactions throughout the Columbia River Gorge and Eastern Oregon including the Deschutes, Grande Ronde, Umatilla, Hood, and Willamette River Basins of Oregon. Completed transactions involving leases, permanent transfers, bypass agreements, federally contracted storage water, and conserved water transfers. Worked with a team to acquire over 150 cubic feet per second and 50,970 acre-feet of water for Oregon streams. Created the Lostine River Bypass Agreement to protect 15 cfs instream for chinook salmon migration. Deal involved 115 landowners on six irrigation ditches. The project continues to be a success and received the American Fisheries Society's Award of Merit for 2005.Created a water quality credit system called Enhanced CREP for a regional utility to offset high ambient stream temperature in the Tualatin Basin.

Responsible for land transactions, fundraising, grant writing, easement stewardship, volunteer support, "friend-raising", budget development, strategic planning, contract negotiations, easements and P&SAs, writing Options, and creating baseline reports and management plans. Experience negotiating transactions with landowners from start to finish, establishing collaborative partnerships, garnering media support, working with public officials, and conducting public forums and meetings. Permanently conserved over 2,000 acres through fee simple acquisition and conservation easements Helped to establish a $1 million endowment through partnership with the Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) and developed a capital campaign to support EWEB's matching grant. Obtained $1 million NAWCA grant for the acquisition of the 1,200 acre Green Island Farm Complex at the confluence of the McKenzie and Willamette Rivers.
