Have you ever felt an invigorating itch for knowledge? The tantalizing tingle for the validity of a theory or the bubbly butterflies you blossom in speculation? I guarantee you have felt a similar sensation at some point. While others may have this urge occasionally, I live with this daily. Throughout my life, there have been few topics that have not intrigued me. History, mathematics, literature, philosophy, cultures, chemistry, the constant change of language, and even how the common aluminum can is a marvel of engineering have all captured my interest.While Global Studies is my focus, I ideally would use my minors (mathematics, psychology, environmental studies, and communication studies) and courses in conjunction with my major and with the skills I will learn in my career. I have also been learning Portuguese for my language requirement despite the language not being offered at the university.Currently, I will Graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies in December 2023. I have been involved in multiple different campus organizations over my college career, and keep myself busy in my own personal limbo. Because of Covid-19, I have been unable to complete my degree, as it requires a study abroad and a second language. This has been the final task for me since May 2021, and I completed last spring. Through the experiences and knowledge I have gained, I hope to make an international impact. This does not just mean to be physically in the space around me, but to experience the people, cultures, and problems of our world. If I can understand those I am assisting at a deeper level, the more profound an impact I can make.While we do all have some impact on the globe, I would not be satisfied if I made a dent, instead. I plan to make an impact the size of a crater upon this Earth. Finding a group of people with the same attitude to change the world whilst having a blast doing it would be the ideal environment for me, and I hope to find it here.Thank you for taking an interest in me!
