It was my responsibility to teach children, teens, and adults the movements, technique, and vocabulary of a variety of dance genres, including ballet, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, musical theatre, and tumbling. I also worked with my students to have choreography prepared to perform at our yearly recital. Each year, my classes worked through a syllabus of movements and vocabulary, and I ensured students were continuously learning. In my time at Santorelli Dance Center, I led 50+ students toward positive recital performances, resulting in happy parents/customers, many of whom have returned to continue their dance education with the studio.

At Home

I took on the job of being a full-time caregiver for my elderly great grandmother in her home. In short, I prepared meals, delivered medication, administered daily physical/occupational therapy sessions, and assisted with personal hygiene, among any other tasks she needed performed. Additionally, to ensure her health was being properly monitored and taken care of, I recorded and analyzed her medical statistics throughout each day.

I taught Zumba for both children and adults at the Clermont Family YMCA. It was my responsibility to provide choreography laced with fitness movements for the optimal workout. I had the wonderful opportunity to bring people of all ages joy and success on a weekly basis as we worked together to destress, meet fitness goals, and live healthier lifestyles. Also in my time at the YMCA, I helped raise funds for our branch by instructing during a Zumbathon. In addition, through Zumba Kids, I provided after school activities to a local school district working with the YMCA.

In this summer position, I answered phone calls to assist with filing claims and answering claim-related inquiries. On many occasions, I spoke with upset customers to de-escalate situations that may have otherwise resulted in major conflicts. On average, I handled about 50 calls per day and retained the appropriate average call time per company policy. This position gave me exposure to the insurance industry and the claims process.

At Allegro Dance Arts, I progressed from an assistant dance instructor to having classes of my own. In this role, it was my responsibility to provide class structure, develop routines, and ensure understanding of dance expectations. As a teacher, I led classes for 3-4 and 5-7 year olds. Each year, I ensured the learning of a syllabus of dance movements and vocabulary and facilitated smooth end-of-the-year performances, resulting in satisfied parents.
